I still need to find out where to find photos that are safe to use without repercussions. If you have such an one, please post the link in the comments!
Good luck if you do use photos that are copyright-possible and let the ErAsInG begin!

Yikes! Thanks for letting me know. I should go through my older posts and check my sources. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI've got lots of work to do. Ugh...
DeleteYeah, I'm going to be removing any pics that aren't mine, too. It's scary, and sad that somebody has to become an example like that.
ReplyDeleteA good place to start is the Creative Commons search page:
ReplyDeletehttp://search.creativecommons.org/
It also includes links to individual sites like WikiCommons that include unencumbered media. As long as you stick to stuff known to be in the public domain (pre-1924 images) or CC licensed images that aren't NoDerivs or ShareAlike, you'll be safe.
Whoa, I'm glad you know your stuff. I've still got learning to do...
DeleteYep, I read about this yesterday. TBH, it was something I had wondered about for a while. Luckily I only had October to go back to and didn't have that many images. Using my own might make for some interesting results!
ReplyDeleteI'll start checking my posts. Most of my pics are my own, I'm usually wary. Thanks for highlighting this.
ReplyDeleteGood for you! *sigh*
DeleteYep, creative commons are the best way to go.
ReplyDeleteI work in a place where copyright and intellectual property are paramount - and I've never used any pic on my blog that I've not paid copyright to! Hence I keep to my pics taken by me and with consent (if anyone objects to their pic being taken if it is to be used in a public arena - you have to take the pic down). Well, Charlie doesn't mind I'm sure! LOL!
ReplyDeleteTake care
x
Yes, I bet Charlie loves his pictures taken. LOL. He's a cutie alright.
DeleteThis question must have been asked for a great many times, but you need to think of it
ReplyDeleteover and over agin so that you can create some accessible ideas for you to wisely learn it.
